The Real JDM Monthly Column
There are actually a few different JASMA approved exhausts for the S2000...
Fujitusbo is one. Kakimoto makes a couple of models that I believe are (not their crazy lound N1 type) . And the stainless Ganador exhaust I think is also JASMA approved.
The best no compromises daily driver exhaust I've seen has been the Amuse Euro R...not sure if it's JASMA or not though, I think they havent filed the paperwork for JASMA since its a low quantity seller. My customers say amazing things about the Amuse Euro muffler, but its only for those that like really quiet exhausts.

yeah, I had a JASMA approved 5zigen Border III on my 98 Prelude and I absolutely loved it. It was the perfect exhaust, and I'd like something similar for my s2000.
Anyways, great article, and I just subscribed to the magazine.

Ben, I really enjoyed the write-up on the Ultra VIP tuning. I think the trick with cars that are uber-expensive to begin with is to add parts that flow well with the original lines, and the pics accompanying that article looked excellent (especially the Ferrari)
Keep up the good work, I look forward to the next piece.

Just read the "JDM Goes Hollywood" article, thought it was quite good. Some really valid points made. Keep it up
i feel F&F might ruin the true JDM scene. my car has alot of rare JDM parts on it now, and i feel once the movie hits eveyone is going to say im just modding my car to be F&F
Thanks everyone for the great feedback.
As a follow up...I'm really worried now about F&F3. I'm still in touch with Universal and I dont like much of what I'm hearing lately...well, I just gotta wait and see like everyone else...I hope they know what they're doing.
A two part column on widebody kits is done. Part 1 should be on sale now. Hopefully people enjoy it.

You should write a column about how the JDM movement in America is losing touch with what inspired it in the first place.
The JDM way is not about chasing ultra-rare parts, having a rollcage for fashion, mounting your license plate to the side, etc. That's all I see nowadays. I truely believe JDM is becoming the new rice. People say they buy for function but most are getting amuse, mugen, J's etc because it's cool, and most will never truely use the functions the parts provide.
Of course there are purists like many in this forum that are not what I described, but for the most part the westcoast JDM scene is a joke occupied by car owners who are all ricers at heart.

I just think the scene as a whole and a lot bigger than it was 5-6 years ago when JDM was more of an "underground" term. The overall aftermarket has experienced double digit growth and this is why you see so much more "JDM." A few years ago there were few magazines covering "JDM" like they are doing now. For example, Ben writing for Modified.
I would like to see you write something about knock off parts and the current legislation out there attempting to put a stop to counterfeiting. Although I think competition helps out consumers in the long run I feel the manufacturers need protection to encourage new production/parts. Either way, I can get you all sorts of reports SEMA wortea bout that topic that you could use.
Good stuff
