Default seibon mg hood with j's intake

i'm thinking of getting these...anyone have this set up? is there cutting required with the seibon mg? the seibon mg hood has a bump in the front i was wondering if the intake will clear the hood.

I dont think it clears. Get the authentic J's Type V hood.

It clears if you cut the hood with a dremel. Any hood will work if you cut it except the Cwest CF hoods. I dont think the Seibon has that much attention to detail for a $400 hood. But I may be wrong. I am not too up to speed with "style" parts..

lol, cut it when you're using the dremel on the edgest of the hood trying to make it fit. you'll be dissappointed in a few months though, when the Seibon Carbon turns yellow and starts falling apart...

Well first, this is the JDM forum....not the fakie fake knockoff forum. Seibon steals designs from Japanese companies to make a quick buck at the expense of the original designers and all the enthusisets who rock the authentic parts. I don't know why you decided to post this...Seibon just doesn't belong here.
Second, alot of members have had experience or have seen the quality (or lack thereof) of Seibon products and aren't spitting "hate" and much as they are giving you good advice to not buy Seibon products.

Its funny to read that comment actually.

Why would we need to hate when we are running the authentic Mugen/J's hoods?

This is JDM forum and quite honestly, a lot of us dont really like replica/knockoffs that stole the JDM concepts/designs. I have seen the Seibon products in person and I dont like the quality at all

thanks for the advice.

just for the record i've never used fake shit on any of my cars and i've done a lot with my cars from lug conversions to swaps. just started thinking about modding my S2k and just wanted to get a feel for stuff.

Man i didn't think Seibon was that bad but i guess so.

i had a budget to kick off my devirginizing of my S, i guess i'm gonna have to save a little more for a j's hood. haha
