I say leave it for now...what header are you planning on using? If its the J's, then I'd try to buy both exhaust and header at the same time...

if not...it really doesn't matter

well seeing as you already have an exhaust right now and no header then 'd go with the header first. It'll give good gains with the spoon, then you can always update to a 70mm down the line.

thanks so much for your post. that is what i was wanting to hear in a round-about way. in other words, am i really going to make THAT much more power with a T1R 70mm? or would i make more power by coupling my spoon with a J's/spoon/amuse/Rugen(thats what i call the ricks header )?

my gut says that matching my pipe with a spoon header will make the most gains outside of the ungodly expensive J's.

1 millimeters = 0.0393700787 inches soooooooo...

63mm=2.48 inches
70mm=2.76 inches
80mm=3.15 inches (more for forced

im pretty sure the spoon is around 63mm
