The Spoon roll bar design looks identical to the Cusco. I wouldn't be surprised if they're both manufactured by the same company. As for materials, I'm not sure what the spoon bar is made of. Maybe Jory or one of the other Spoon guys will chime in.
Im pretty sure it is made my Cusco. I have a Spoon rollbar that I purchased from Spoon_Us. Made of steel!

If I were to use a 4pt harness, would a cage be more desireable for mounting purposes, or would roll bars be sufficient?

A rollbar is sufficient. You will only really be using the harness bar for the two shoulder straps. THe belt harness uses the existing seabelt mount point on the outboard side. Inboard side you can drill into the transmission tunnel for a mounting point and mount an eyebolt with a backing plate.

that's good info, I know you probably don't want to go here, but the Racing and Competition Forum is a good place to inquire about Harnesses and their mounting points. I'm waiting on delivery of a Buddy Club seat and will be going to a harness as soon as the Elda Bar is available again. Good Luck

The Tru spoon roll cages that you see in the catalogs arent what we are being sold here in the U.S. Simply because the real spoon cages in japan of a rear angled bar designed for a right hand drive car. I think spoon is just selling the 4 point safety 21. Which I see no difference what so ever. to the U.S. cause it doesnt have that issue. If your gonna get a spoon cage... Better off getting safety 21. Half the price for the same exact item. Spoon cage doesnt even say spoon anywhere on it.
