Default spoon snorkle question..?

i installed my spoon snorkle and i had to remove the bar in the front bumper section to get the damn snorkle to fit perfectly. is it ok if you just remove that bar and not use it. i had to remove the mounts for it too to get the thing on right. will it even effect my handling? plz help? and is there a cooling plate that works with the snorkle that isnt cf?

APR makes one in Aluminum and CF for the spoon intakes.

I wouldn't remove the bar. It's there for a reason.

You can buy an intake made specially for the 2004 / 2005 S2000 here...

I have an 04, with Spoon snorkel, and have the bar in place. I installed the snorkel first, then installed the bar with the airbox lid off. I installed the bar through the front grill. Once the snorkel is in place I installed the airbox lid. Be gentle when installing the lid and don't force anything. I have no problems at all with this setup, no cracks, no rubbing, perfect. The bar actully helped hold the snorkel away from the grill. I hope this helps.
