Tein Flex w/EDFC install tips?
Hi, I've done the searches but didn't see a compilation of the install process for installing the Tein Flex coilovers with EDFC. So far all I know is the rear driver side will be tricky.
What I am interested in is where you located the control unit and how dod you do the wiring. I think this would help a lot of others considering this set up. Thanks.

as far as I know the edfc installed on the tein coilover will fit on the rear driver side below the fuel tank boot just will be a bit tight I can fit the tein allen wrench with my hand over it while turning its just a bit tight.
the wiring can be run through the spare tire compartment (panels removed) and most people i know install the edfc controller behind the cup holder in the coin compartment(assuming you have a ap1) by using a dremel. you can tap into the power line from the hazzard switch or cig lighter.
also the easiest way to remove the 14mm(may have been 12mm dont quote me on it) bolts for the rear driver side is by using a 3/8 breakerbar($10 sears) and a short 14mm socket. i hate using the deep 14mm with the adjustment and 3" ext. waste money and time also make sure the rear bar is removed and use a magnetic pen as a guide while removing so you dont loose the bolts!

for the rear drivers side... undo the fuel tube from the car and move it asside... (make sure you don't rip the rubber boot thinige on it).. this will give you plenty of room to get in there to place the edfc motor on top of the coilover.....
the rear line just feed them though the spare tire area and though (under) the "glove box"... for the two front wires, i fed them though a little hole in the firewall above the clutch, and then fed them though to the center of the car to plug them in...
just remember when you tap the power make sure you chose the line that has constant power... if power is completely cut off the edfc will lose it's settings..
