For Those With Spoon Batteries...
The Spoon battery says that the terminals need to be modified to fit on a USDM car. I was under the assumption there was no modification necessary. What is needed to make it work?
My other question is, can the gold posts on the Spoon battery be removed (or maybe the battery even comes brand new with the gold posts uninstalled)? If so, does the battery have a male post that the gold SAE posts screw on or is it a female post?
Any help is appreciated.

i would just add an adapter (did a quick search here http://www.solarseller.com/battery_post_co...pair.htm)scroll down
when i had the spoon battery for my dc2, i bought the jdm cables that fit onto the small posts.
hope this helps!

The reason I'm asking is I'm still trying to find out if there's a way to mount my new battery without cutting and soldering on new ring connectors. I know that someone in Europe went from using the Spoon battery to the battery I bought, a Varley Red Top 15 and am trying to figure out how he made it work. I was thinking maybe he unscrewed the posts from the Spoon battery and put them on the new one.
I have yet to find SAE posts in 6mm that are female.
