Default Toda Header cracked!

Guys I amit I race by car and I also daily drive it 15-18,000 miles a year but damn toda. First my toda bracket broke off after about 10k miles and now at around 20k miles the header has cracked all the way around. This is a high end $1400 header it shouldn't crack after 20k miles.

heres a couple crappy phone pics.

I send them this email, lets see if they take care of it...

I've had your header on my S2000 for about 20,000 miles now and after about 10,000 miles the mounting tab broke off and I had to pay for one to be made and welded back on and now I've found it has cracked 3/4 the way around at one of the weld after about 20,000 miles of usage. I paid $1400 for this header and it's falling apart. What do I need to do to get a replacement? I'll gladly send this POS one back to you all after I recieve the new one. You can give me a call at 502-229-37xx if you would like.

Thanks,

-Josh Owens

I think this is why the ASM header is a little better. They pretty much take a Toda header and then reinforce it at key weak spots. I can't say I'm surprised.

I don't think your email to Toda was very professional or diplomatic. I expect them to do NOTHING. Not only because of you email, but as someone stated, they claim it is for off-road use and racing, SOL.

I was really tempted to buy the Toda header, but I will have to give it a second though. Where do you live? The exhaust/car looks very rusty and that might have added to the failure.

It happens, just get it re-welded since Toda probably won't be much help.

I live in kentucky.

They called and said they would replace it as long as it isn't older then a year but it's been 14 months so I'm 2 months over. I haven't emailed him back yet but I don't plan on they replacing it. I rewelded it but it's the fact that the header is suppose to be high-end and amazing quallity yet it falls apart.

I think this is why a PLM header is better. $300 and if it cracks who cares.
