Default VAFCII tune

I have AEM V1 cold air, Rick's 6+ header, Berk test pipe and HKS exhaust. I recently had my tuned on dynojet with VAFCII... After they are done tuning my car, I have only gained 3 peak HP. Does that sound right?? I am not expecting a lot of gain, but i've heard 210-215 peak hp. So should i take it to another place to get it retuned? I know with the VAFCII tuning, you'll get better and smoother power curve and improve drivability, but i didn't feel it at all.

You cannot just look at peak HP to determine if they did a good job tuning. A good tuner should have not only a smooth power curve, but also gains throughout the whole powerband. Also each dyno is different, not to mention the conditions under each car is tuned can also result in different HP readings..

sorry.. before tune 200 after tune 203. i looked at the power curve.. it's almost identical before and after. hum.. how about this question, since i have berk's test pipe with the o2 cel fix. the tuner put the wide band into the test pipe instead of the header bung. would that make any difference? Being that the o2 bung is so far back on the test pipe.

sounds like, they lowered vtec and called it a day. find some dyno graphs of before and after, and i'll be able to tell you if they did a shotty job on the tuning.

he didn't even lower the vtec, i think change a few points on the Rpm range and that's it. from 0-4500 rpm it's almost identical, from 4500-8500 there is a few HP gain and torque, but nothing too impressive. Like i said, i am not looking to get 240 at the wheel.. I expect to be around 210 range at the wheel. there are a few guys on here got 210 peak hp on a dynojet dyno. The tuner got the A/F pretty flat, no spikes. I still think he should've put the wide band in the header instead of the test pipe.

i tune out of the test pipe with good results. take a look at my last dyno, i am tuned with a vafc2...
