Sorry to take up the space, but can someone please give me some insight on to what JDM (Japanese Domestic Market, i know that much) means...I want to hear it from s2k owner's perspectives

you answered your own question. JDM is Japanese Domestic Market. People mostly use it for parts that are made by Japanese Tuning companies such as J's Racing, Mugen etc...

I don't get what there is to understand about something being JDM anyway... how hard is it... Japanese companies should be considered as "JDM" companies, while cars made for Japan are considered "JDM" cars... what else is such grey area?

i guess i was just trying to figure out why JDM parts were so expensive, and why people sometimes strive to "JDM"-ize they're cars...just looking for info

You don't get why people would want to put good quality parts that usually look badass on their car? There's really nothing more to it...

It was really just trying to understand why for example, people prefer JDM volks over something like Tenzo-Rs...EternalLx said it best, it was just a simple question let it go
