Default 2005 S2k prices

Hi everyone. This is my first post to the forum here though I've been lurking for a while reading up on some of the likes and dislikes by s2k owners.

I still have to test drive the 350z roadster, but unless it blows me away, I'm planning on buying the 2005 s2k.

Since I live in the DC metro area, I thought maybe you guys could recommend a dealer or dealers that you purchased from, and how much over (or even under) invoice you paid out the door.

I was checking out this thread, but wanted to get a better idea about mid-atlantic pricing.

Edmunds says the TMV (including frieght) is ~$31,260. I have recevied a few price quotes so far via online car quote services, these are the lowest:

Leesburgh Honda - $ 31,590.00 Plus taxes, tags, and fees.
Freight $515.00
Total $32,105.00
State Tax $1,926.30
DBL Tax $32.11
Processing $299.00
Tags $147.00
Total $34,509.41

Landmark Honda - $30,888.00*
FREIGHT - $515
PROCESSING FEE - $289
APPEARANCE Package - $595
DC tax - 6.2%
DC tags - $130
Your total Out The Door Price is - $34,437.72

Koons of Manassas - $30,819.72
Appearance Package - $0
Destination (frieght) - $515.00
Processing Fee - $279.00
Total with Tax and tags - $33,344.80

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Get one in MD. I think the processing fees are cheaper?

Angelo,
I would recommend to shoot a PM over to Poindexter to see what he can do for you.

Here's what I paid for my 2005 S at Hendrick Honda in Woodbridge: I paid exactly what they quoted me without any BS or haggling when I went to the dealer. Great sales guy too! I can PM you the sales guy's contact info if you want. Good Luck!

my family has bought 3 Hondas from Hendrick, but i would check with those who are on the boards here first (because they will provide support along the way better than any other dealer). Alex (Poindexter) is a great guy

I got my baby at Ladmark Honda for a little over 30k. This was back in Feb and after some negotiation. Can't remember the exact figure now, but PM if interested and I can give you more specifics.

Happy hunting.

Enzo and I are PMing right now - thanks everyone. If he decides to make the trip, he'll be in good hands

and if Enzo is in NoVa or MD, the drive back would knock a big chunk out of the break in period

Thanks for the input so far everyone! Seems like there are good deals to be had on this car. Too bad the same can't be said about the insurrance on it.

Actually, that's a good follow up question. I live in DC, I have secure garage parking, and am trying to get a decent rate. My current provider, Erie, has quoted me a bit over $2000/year. I have a clean record, but probably not for long!
