Any hazards at the Frederick lot (Like the curbs in Bowie)? I haven't actually been there before.

I'm considering letting a good friend co-drive with me, but I want to do it in a really safe lot. Just in case. I wouldn't be letting him drive my car if I didn't already trust him, but he's never autox'd before.

Very small lot with two poles. Then there is the ditch of death that runs through the middle....It's my least favorite lot by a large margin.

Nothing big, besides the lot is as big as our parking area at Bowie, there is only one light pole in the middle (or maybe 2 ), a deep dip with a 2 inch wide/12 in. long crack on the south side of the track, and very sandy, and oh, no run off so if you off go course in the south side, you hit the staged cars, on the north side you go to grassy knoll, if you over shoot the end of the course you will end up in the highway. Other than that it's verhy safe.

I think that's about it, did I say small lot?

Thanks. I think I'll wait, and see if I can drag him out to MBCA with me. They've got an awesome lot.

If you trust your friend's ability to keep a car under control Frederick is fine. If he's going to go out there and try to run the course sideways it might be a bad idea to let him run your car on any lot.

Good point. I do trust him not to be a tool. I just watched a couple in car videos from Frederick. It looks like you'd have to try pretty hard to go off anywhere dangerous.

I also plan to be in the car yelling at him if he does anything wrong

I was thinking just as much about the fun factor of a bigger lot, I guess. I'll let him decide if he wants a close lot, or a big lot.

The biggest thing to avoid is the other cars staged to the side.....they are quite close.

Registered also...

I'll take you up on the bet as well, I'm still slow but I like a challenge!

I need to put my OEM wheels back on and get used to them again... Have been driving around the past few months on the wider RPFs.. I'm going to be totally disoriented come the 19th...
