A-mod national champion Dan W. is registered for the next event at Cumberland. I'd expect that car to win FTD by an easy 5s over the C-mods and XP cobras. Extremely pissed I won't be there to see it run. It might be worth it for some to go run and watch that thing run.

 

Yeah, I haven't seen it yet. I'll reserve my judgement until after the event.

BMWCCA has had pretty lame courses at Waldorf, so I won't feel like I'm missing too much even if CDC doesn't turn out great.

At lasts months event, the average run time was over >60 seconds and had 3rd gear potential. We finished up around ~2-3 PM.


May do fun runs in addition to the usual 6 runs this time.

Noel's CR is fast.

 

This was my first time in Winchester, but I thought it was a great course.
Too bad it's an hour and a half out.

Lot wasn't nearly as bad as I expected. Probably the best CDC event I have ever attended. Course was pretty quick... I was riding the limiter for a solid 2-3 seconds per lap in the Saturn I was driving.

That said, they put a f@#king loop at the beginning that confused 70% of the drivers so there were tons of DNFs. I wish they would just offer more runs on a 35 second course instead of trying to turn it into a 45 second course plagued with DNFs and silly 10mph corners.


What's done prep-wise to the CR? The Miata felt soo much better yesterday after raising it off the bumpstops... but still doesn't have the power to hang

 

Yes that thing is fast. When I spun on my last run I could hear him catching up to me as I finished.
