Obsolutely tragic...SAD to see this kind of accident.

We all known that when setup with a good rear wing non-staggered makes the fastest s2k but what about when there is no wing? Still true or would a regular staggered setup be just as fast?

Non-staggered will still be faster but you may have to tune the suspension/alignment/tire pressure to get the car balanced so you're comfortable.

It's pretty amazing how safe MotoGP is considering what they're doing and how much energy a human body is carrying after a get-off. We've lost two riders at Summit Point in the last couple of years.

I've swapped my front whiteline swaybar back for oem one. I did not like how the car seemed hard to turn. I know that with my nonstaggered setup it'll be a handfull, but maybe it'll help her turn better. Plus I have the wing on the way that will help for high speed corners.
I did feel a big difference the other day with oem sway bar; I shifted half way through the corner and it seemed to upset the car a bit more that usual...
Ideally, I'd like to find an adjustable sway bar that has it's sofstest setting around 30% stiffer..... some that I looked at were like 70% stiffer...too much in my opinion.
Too bad that I barely had time to play with the car this year....hopefully now that the bike is in storage I can remember about the s2k again.

So I procrastinated too long in signing up for the last NASA event and HPDE2 is full ATM. Is anyone that isn't already committed willing to instruct me? Lou? I'm not a n00b so I won't do any stupid stuff.

*edit* scratch that, they have plenty of instructors just lots of people signed up. So if you are planning to instruct you should get signed up asap.

I am on the waiting list, so hopefully I will get in.

Yep, groups are filling for next weekend at Summit and we've only got room for 1-2 more instructors in either HPDE4 or TT.

Schedule, entry list, reg pages, etc are all linked from http://www.nasaracing.net/?page_id=261

And Jim, you'll probably have another email from me soon.

Jim,

I'm happy to instruct you. You could always just sign up for group 1. Just realize that you will have slower traffic and you will have to follow group 1 rules.

If I have another group 2 student who I feel is able to be soloed, I could then bump you up into group 2 (but that would depend entirely on the event organizers who would need to determine if group 2 has room for more drivers).

Thanks Pete. I couldn't do group 1 though, not to sound like a douche, but I am passing enough people in group 2. You know because I drive flat out.

Awesome! See you there, Jim.

Pete or Lou, if you could instruct me that would be awesome too.
