No, my Taco won't tow that much weight so I'm looking at full size v8 trucks now too.

Fun fact: I called State Farm to verify they still cover damages to my car from an HPDE event. Not only did they stop covering damages to cars from such events, but their policy is to drop all policy holders who call and say they participate in such events with their car. I thought I'd share in case anyone else was feeling like being open and honest with their car insurance company.
wow.

Fyi I switched to Progressive from Snake Farm. Saved about 300 a year and got more coverage. And this was with a new home policy too.
Do you know Progressive's policy on HPDE?

I am sure it's no good, my track car is a liability only policy

It will work but it is no longer a square setup and you can not rotate wheels.

I know, it's just that there is a used set of 225/255 for sale and I was thinking of buying them.

A great deal on something you really don't want is not really that great a deal. At least in terms of track setup. This would be a nice set of tires if you just want a REALLY sporty summer street tire in a non staggered size. Then you could buy my forged TRF3 wheels and have a truly bad ass street setup.

It will be stretched. I had the wrong tires mounted on the wrong wheels on two of my wheels one time and a 255 on a 8" wheel looked just about the same as a 9" wheel, but the 225 on a 9" wheel definitely looked stretched, I wouldn't do it personally.

Also after comparing a square setup to a non-square at the last track day, I really liked having the additional tire in the front. I am planning to go square next time I replace tires.
