2011 Track Junkie Thread
I'm just about ready for the SCCA comp school so I did my annual photo shoot. She's only this clean and shiny once a year.
I have to run #41 with the SCCA and #141 with NASA so I'll have to blue-tape over the 1 on the sides. The SCCA doesn't do 3 digit numbers
I'm going to run ITE with SCCA and PTB with NASA. I may switch to Honda Challenge 1 when I use up all my Nitto NT01 tires. I also have the option of running Hoosiers in PTB. HC requires RA1s.

Beautiful car, Rob.
I love all those stickers, nice placements, I think you are one of the few that sports NASA and SCCA side by side
. The only sticker you are missing is GRM, that will almost guarantee you to be featured in their mag.

Rob,
The car looks good. IMHO I would pick HC and NASA over NASA PTB and either over SCCA.
When you are getting car teched for SCCA triple cover up the NASA decals or you will have problems, my personal experience as well as others. When at a NASA event you can have SCCA stickers on the car they aren't as strict however Chris does require that for Hyperfest SCCA stickers are off the car because of media at the track and possible magazine pictures.
PTA and PTB don't have any competitors so I think your best bet is HC. You will accumulate Toyo bucks to pay for tires AND big news is that Honda Performance Development is offering prizes for regional races, regional championship, and cash money at Nationals. The catch is you much have at least 3 entrants to claim prizes. PTA PTB SCCA don't have that. This year HC H1 should have 5-7 cars for regional events, possibly 10-11 at Hyperfest, and 15+ at Nationals.
HPD offers Honda bucks---credit through Honda Racing Line---must restister! $200 for win 150 for 5th and 100 for 10th for 1st race of weekend, regional championship is $500 honda bucks, Nationals is CASH free entry--yes everyone gets $500 cash back no matter where you finish at Nationals 2000 for win 1500 2nd 1000 3rd and I think 4th gets more than 500---cash.
If it is only the tires holding you back sell the tires or give them away to an up n commer and buy the Toyos. Rain tires I'm fairly certain H1 competitors will look the other way if you have nittos instead of toyos, if you have hoosiers their will be a fight.
Just my .02
PS the front spliter looks a little small and the rear wing endplates look a little big. H1 rules are 1" outside body line so on the splitter 1" from the perpendicular from the outermost distance of the nose--not the distance from the bottom of the bumper. The endplates and possibly the rear wing look to overhang just a bit more than 1". Keep the endplates and move the wing forward or go with smaller endplates.
Good luck in Comp School.
I will be racing in April along with 4-5 other H1 and it would be nice if you will join us!
