I myself is waiting for the repair of my oil temp gauge. For some reason the AEM gauge sensor failed. I may be there this weekend for reinstall.

Do you mean the SATT, this weekend?

I will also be interested, please post if you hear more.

Is there one on the 30th? I also looked at their website and didn't see anything.

Can't wait to see Ron's and Jason's new cars out on the track, as well as hear how things are going with Matt and W2W. Matt you should keep a blog on the transition to wheel to wheel and share your experiences and race results.

Sadly (or perhaps happily) I heard David is thinking about selling the Teg for a car that can be converted to race W2W in a spec series. I know that's gotta be tough after spending an entire year building the turbo kit and installing related parts. Just imagine if he could have continued with the build by adding an LSD and wing...he was already eating AMGs and Porsches...

So my car keeps making a clicking/popping sound when I am in first gear and release the clutch. It started doing it over a year or two ago, and was intermittent, but now it does it pretty much every time. Sometimes it even makes several distinct multiple clicks when accelerating now, especially when on an incline of any type, either forwards or backwards. I first noticed this happening occasionally after my car was towed a couple years back..I don't remember noticing it before that. I was backed into the spot the night it was towed, and back then I tended to leave the car in neutral and use the e-brake. Any ideas what it could be?

any idea on pricing yet?

I think it is $350 for two days, $250 for one day.
That's a very good deal. Let me see if that weekend is clear.

Sounds to me like your diff is done. Time to talk to s2kpuddydad.

If your car is towed improperly it will kill an s2000 diff, thats what happened to one of mine, but it can take a while for it to get bad enough for you to notice.

It could also be sticky/dry axle splines. My S2000 does this, if I lube up the axle spines it goes away for a while but eventually returns. It is pretty bad now, I probably will need new axles (hopefully not hubs).

Hopefully that is his problem, it would be a lot cheaper.

Mercedes HPDE at Summit Point on Sep 29-30 registration is up!

Go to Motorsportreg.com

MBCA - Greater Washington

Saturday Sep 29 - Sunday Sep 30

Shenandoah Circuit, Summit Point, WV
Last day to register online: Sat Sep 15, 2012

Come out and join us for two days of fun driving on Summit Point's Shenandoah Circuit - a challenging course billed as a "dimensional model of the Nurburgring." We will have instructors on hand to help you learn this challenging road course. You do not have to be a member of the Mercedes-Benz Club of America to participate in this event and you can drive any street legal car you own as long as it can pass the required pre-event technical inspection (independent shop or dealer). Some open-top vehicles will also need to meet specific safety requirements; please contact the event registrar directly if your car falls into this category.

The cost for this event $350 for both days or $200 for one.

The blog is a good idea, but given I don't even have time to put the oil cooler howto together, I'm probably not going to be able to do this. I will however be happy to talk to anyone considering the same transition.
