I wonder if Dominion raceway will be done in time. I saw a youtube video from a couple months back and there's nothing but dirt still.. I'll be at the May Shenandoah event for sure, hopefully make it down to VIR for one event as well this year.

The open track days w/ trackdaze are one day only. Not bad if you want to get a lot of track time in one day instead of two. Looks like no instructors as well, so you have to be approved for solo.

Yeah, who knows. Maybe flattening out the ground is the slow part and the asphalting is pretty quick.

There are a good amt of events at VIR, any idea which one?

Oh yeah, I didn't notice that. So it is same price for a two day event for one long day?

I'm not sure, would be nice if we could get a bunch of folks to go. I'd prefer going maybe late summer so I have the new setup dialed in. Looks like it's about a 4 hr drive, not very far, but def not close like Summit.

The open track days are priced pretty much like a single day event. Considering you get more track time and you could get out of there earlier, it seems like a pretty good deal. I see they have one April 13th (which is a Monday) at Summit Main. I dono if I could make that one.

Yeah, the more the merrier for sure. I want to try that track out.

There are also some other newish tracks up north that look fun. Both are about 6.5 hrs away.

Thompson

And Palmer looks like a lot of fun (I just hope they didn't leave all the trees in the rendering hah, seems unsafe)

And I STILL want to try Thunderbolt, it looks like there are a couple events up there.

Anyone try Watkins Glen before?

Haha. Eh, I used to drive 7 hours to get to college in FL. I drove from FL to NC which was about 9 a couple times moving up here. I was in a long distance relationship before that was about a 5 hr drive . I think 7 is about max I like to drive in a day, but it could be worth it just to try something new..but I think VIR would be the first choice other than Summit Point.

So Dominion Raceway opens end of May (supposedly). Looks like there are a few NASA events there. This place is about an hr from my house. I don't know what the scale is, but looks like it should be pretty fast:

Road course is the first thing to open at this facility. Hopefully it's finished in time for the scheduled events. I'm sure it'd be really nice driving on fresh pavement.

Feels like a private convo between us Mike, lol
