Default 4 more hours to go...

Hello everyone. Long time listener, first time caller. Today I take delivery on my brand new Suzuka Blue S2000. Can't wait! I've been watching this board for a long time and have learned a great deal. For that I am most grateful to you all. (Especially Rick and the hardcore posters w1ngman and moonpie, and let's not forget hiroprotagonist). I'm looking forward to meeting you at get-togethers in the Baltimore area.

Sorry I'm not too savvy on these boards as to putting little pictures in and having extra info at the end of this post. I'll figure that out soon.

But for now, I will just have to get through the day til I can get to the dealership after work!

Congrats on your new S2000. I've had my blk/blk S2000 for about a month now and love every minute I'm in it.

All I can say is WOW! This car is fantastic. I got it last night and promptly put about 30 miles on it. Had a very good experience with Bel Air Honda.

This car is so tight and drives great. Everything is where I want it to be. I feel like they made this car just for me! I am so pleased, and I knew I would be, but it was even better than I expected. I'll get some top down drive time in this weekend when I go to Delaware to visit family.

I'm sure I'll see you at meets before too long. I will also improve the appearance of my posts with some more info and a little picture.

Happy driving s2kers!

I'm so jealous !!!!

I take delivery in about 7 weeks! I'm counting the moments! When I drove the car, I also felt as though it was custom built for me. I can't wait.

Congrats fia!

Congrat on your new blue,
Obviously your call name reflects what color your new S2000 is.
However do you happen to know Joe Satriani's Flying in a Blue Dream album?
If not, never mind.

1Randyc,

You got it! That was the first tune that got played in the car as I rolled off the lot. In fact, that album is in there right now! I'm a big Satriani fan. I was wondering if anyone would catch the handle reference--glad you did! The song seemed utterly appropriate for the car--everything is blue including the front lights!

This afternoon I'm taking half a day from work to go for my first top down drive. It's been kind of crummy weather since I took delivery, so I'm taking the first opportunity I can!

Enjoy, fellow s2kers...the next two days are supposed to be nice here in the mid-atlantic MD-DE area.

Ha! I didn't know I would run across another Satriani fan.
Since I was heavily into playing guitar at one point(I still do), I was definitely into Satriani stuff. Although I haven't listen to all of his album, Surfing with the Alien and Flying in a Blue Dream are definitely one of my favorite.
Do you play guitar by any chance?

What part of Delaware are you visiting. I don't get to see many S2000's around here unless Rick and Jim come up for a meet. I'll look for ya this weekend. (Delaware is a very small state) Congrats on your new baby!

1Randyc:

I play guitar, but I'm definitely no shredder. Mostly rhythm. Actually, singing is my forte. I fronted a covers band and played backing chords for our lead guitarist. We all got too busy with life and disbanded though. We still get together and jam a few times a year just for fun.

I've got all of Satriani's stuff and even met him once. Ultra nice guy.

Paulie:
I'll be heading to Dover. I go up 40 then to 896 and down 13 or 1. Look for the guy with the ear to ear grin...
