Altered Atmosphere: Local DynoTuning & VAFC
I have purchashed the V-AFC and the harness. The V-AFC is here, the harness is not. I do not know when the harness is coming (which is troublesome because I paid for it.....
)
After I have the VAFC installed, I will be bringing it to a dyno for tuning/testing because that is the right thing to do. While it seems as if there are a number of shops in the area, I understand that AA has experience with the VAFC and other Apex'i products. Therefore, I would feel most comfortable bringing the car there. They also have a reputation for building some seriously fast import metal.
So, I ask & propose the following:
1) How many of you in the area purchased the VAFC? How many are waiting for harness?
2) Would you be interested in a group tune/dyno at Altered Atmosphere?
3) How many of you who did NOT get VAFC are interested in dyno'ing you car anyway?
I am NOT going to approach them about pricing until I know how many folks are interested. Don't want to waste their time.
Comments? Suggestions? Flames?

I'll go for a baseline dyno. Mine is completely bone stock, and at 14,000 miles, I want to see how well the engine got broken in with the synthetics. Will get my differential fluid replaced beforehand.
BTW, their website is under construction.

Ya - sorry their site wasn't more helpful. But, I found they did a group dyno day for some Audi TT folks (12 cars). So, doing a group dyno day is something they've done before. Here's the link and some interesting TT dyno figures:

I'm in!!! I am also waiting for the VAFC and the harness to come in. However I would like to tune the VAFC after I have received and installed my AEM CAI, Veilside exhaust (pre-order and crossing my fingers) and possibly DC Sport headers. I understand that the headers are on back order so I would probably dyno without it. I'm doing a baseline run on March 3rd (Richmond meet) so I should be able to compare the before and after results. This puts me at the middle to end of March time frame. EJ and guys please let me know if this was a time frame yall wanted to shoot for.
i am waiting for the lighted shiftknob that i purchased but still haven't received from 4igs2000 back in december. I wanted him to take that money and apply it to the harness and i will pay the difference.. but stilll no word from him. I wanted to have all this before the march 3rd meet down here in richmond, but i don't think that is possible....

Hey, you're welcome.
I never dynoed my car. I was supposed to at one dyno day there, but I ran out to go get a quart of oil and some food and by that time my turn had come and passed. Mike offered to run it anytime and I would only pay the discounted rate, but I'm mostly stock enginewise so I decided to save my money. *Shrug*

That would be great - I would really appreciate any feedback or help you can give us with regard to AA. I have heard nothing but good things about them. I will be waiting until my VAFC harness arrives (I will be doing a custom install) and the unit is ready to go.
Again - thanks a lot for your help.
BTW - I got the unit on Friday, can't wait to get it in!!

I just purcased my v-afc from titan motorsports, and i have to receive that, send the harness out and have someone make a new harness for it. So that will be at least 3 weeks? looking at end of march!.. sucks.. cause i wanted to do it beginning of march. but oh well.. i guess it gives me time to break in my car more, before i start messing with the electronics.
