Default Any graphics geeks?

Hey all, im trying to convert a picture into a drawing like you have prolly seen some people do here, I am just stuck on converting the glass to a "cartoonish" feel. Anyone know the best way to convert the glass (special color or swatch to use)? I tried all types of blues and whites, I can't get the right feel for it though.

Just looking for a little help if you can offer it....

glass like a windshield?

look around for automotive illustrations to get an idea, or post your original and your progress here, perhaps someone can lend a hand...

I use transparent gradients to give glass the right look.

Thanks man, I actually found a RGB Glass to lay over it and just tweaked the transparancy with a blue tinted white underneith and it came out pretty good.

Im not done yet... lol, this is my first time attempting the "entire" picture. It is also a little time consuming tracing the entire thing on a laptop. lol

Yea, touchpads SUCK for Photoshop/Illustrator. I end up carrying around a full sized USB mouse for that stuff.

I used to carry a mouse when I had a laptop, as well... At least you're not carrying around a tablet... (thinking of my 12x12 wacom...)
