LIL Raj in our area does this... why the heck would I pay for someone else's expense when I have someone local?
Would "Lil Raj" be interested? What's his price to do my new S2000 and my 2000 NSX?

The guy from Tampa/Orlando has some references on this board and he has a web site full of pics.

His expenses for 4 cars are about $75/car that brings the S2000 to $625. That's hard to beat. If a local guy could compete, I would be highly interested. But I'm not going to pay $1,000 just to support someone local, that I don't know anyway.

Lil Raj has some references on this board too. Not saying that your guy isn't any good, but if I were to do this, I'd like it to be someone local just in case some issues arised in the future that needed to be corrected by the install person. So instead of tracking someone down that was 900 miles away, I'd just have to go right down the street to the local fella.

By the way, I don't know Lil Raj either, so your thought on working with someone "that you don't know" is the same as me going with your guy, since I don't know him either. Just my $.02.

You bring up a good point, but the website shows that they do a lot of cars ... expensive ones at that, so for the savings I'd still go with this guy. Unless someone knows of a local installer that is nearly as cheap? IIRC, Lil Raja wanted $1000 or so for the full kit.

I'm assuming at this point that $625 is for the full kit, if it isn't then the deal isn't quite as sweet.

Anyways, I'm still interested. I've got an '04 S2000 with an OEM lip, incase that changes the price at all too.

Raja rarely posts in the Mid-A, but hopefully he can come in here to vouch for himself and his prices.

If I knew my car was in its final state (I so wish I could say it was ) I'd be all over this idea - thanks for bringing it to us tobascoNSX

Just out of my curiosity, what is the advantage of having this done for your car?

Click here and look at the site and check out the pics. I think if you look at the pics you will see that it will protect to most vulerable parts of the car. I have seen a few cars with this and you really have to be close to see the bra. Up until now I thought I would have to pay more than a grand for it and that was kinda steep, but if I can do both of my cars for about $1300, then I'm ready.

Alan, invincaman, says the overnight temperature needs to be above 70 degrees for a few days, so this "party" couldn't happen until May.

Thanks for that information. I am wondering if it is worth the effort as mine is no longer new. However, if your car is new, it would be worthwhile to have this done to protect vulnerable parts of your car. Honda paint is not the world's greatest I don't think. If I were to do this, I would probably have to fix up the chip damages before.

It is worth it. I have people ask me this all the time and I tell them, 'Well, you can either stop the chips now....or you can just let your car get even more sandblasted. Which would you like,' and that kind of brings it into perspective. Most people just fill in their existing chips (if the car is no longer new) and then get the clear bra applied. It is much better to stop the chips and have your car preserved as a 20,000 mile car rather than let it get even more messed up and have thr front look like a 60,000 mile car.

I applied the clear bra to my S2000 when the car had about 20,000 miles on it and it was great.
