I'm looking for '94-97 Landcruisers up and down the East Coast. I should have one within the next week or two, and will be all up for teaching that truck not to like pavement

Assateague has a whole "Over Sand Vehicle" area that you can get a pass for. They have certain requirements, but I'm not sure if the eastern shore and beachy areas are what you're looking for
When a side road that flooded last year when we had a lot rain, I forded about 4 or 5 inches of water in my S2000. I stopped at first to assess the conditions, picked a straight line through the 60 foot long 'puddle' and hit it head on around 17 MPH in second gear. Boy that was fun splashing in the water, flying high 10 feet on either side of the car. The S2000 plowed through it like a champ.
I didn't know it was an off road vehicle too -- well sort off.
The other cars across the pond (no, not in England!) had stopped on both sides. After seeing the S2000's shallow water fording capabilities the rest of them tried the same at slower more cautious speeds. People just don't want to have fun I guess.
Sure you can off road in a 4x4 but do it in an S! Just kidding. I was surprised at it's capability. Maybe I'll try mudding or rock crawling.
