Arson :(....
I received a call early this morning that our home (that we're building in Louisa) was set on fire! The cops have no doubt that it was arson. Most of the house is lost
. We had just finished all the electrical wiring & HVAC this week too! Just a couple more items to set regarding plumbing and the builder would have been setting up sheetrock within another week...The cops have no leads. But I cannot help but think its someone that has an ax to grind with me. Yesterday I'd received a call from a Louisa Co. "code enforcer" that he'd posted a "CEASE WORK!" injunction against my property because I had never filed for a Land Disturbance (aka clearing) Permit. I mean...look how far I'd come with building the house & now this week the barn...and someone makes a point to suggest to Louisa Co. that I'd never applied for a clearing permit???!!! That's just plain wrong. I wasn't aware I'd needed too...but jeez! The trees were already down...so why stop the workers from building!
Anyway, that's pretty much irrelevant now
. The builder is insured of course...so the house will get built again. But Lord...we have to start all over! And on top of that there is the nagging concern over 'who did this!?' Arsonists are lower than low. They probably share genetic traits with folks that key peoples cars. Here are some pics of what's left of my house...

.....Oh...and that same genetic trait might be recessive with people that like to play April Fool's jokes on their friends

Sorry 'bout that...but c'mon!!! Its April 1st!

PS. Not that ya'll care now, but the quick blurb about the "code enforcer" was ENTIRELY true. I had to deal with Louisa Co. yesterday because they stopped all work on my property because I'd not filed for a Land Disturbance Permit prior to having cleared the land. They ALSO stopped our barn from being built because that builder had not filed for a Building Permit. Yesterday really was a tough day for me... But if I've suckered anyone today with this post, then I feel a lil' better
Nah on the 2nd oven. Garage is just a skip away from the kitchen. I'd considered putting a 220 line to the garage and installing an oven out there. But sadly, my corner clearing business has really fallen off hard. So just not worth the investment.
Not funny man
NOT FUNNY!!!Obviously I fell for it cuz I just woke and and am still kinda drowsy, but thats not something to joke about
I did start to get kinda suspicious towards the end and esp when I saw no pics. And by the time I saw that long gap I was just
and straight up

Well I'm glad this was just a prank....

Dammit! You got me too.
