Default Audio Question

I just purchased a SB 2005 this past weekend. I did not purchase the rear speakers as I thought the price was high and was unsure of the quality. First, let me say I'm not an audiophile. Actually, I'm 59 and hearing in one ear is iffy. I'd like to improve the sound quality and I'm seeking advice. Should I just add some rear speakers? If so, where can I go for purchase and installation? I live in the Washington Metro area of Maryland.

Thanks for any advice.

Tom

You can add S-pods or the factory rear roll bar speakers. Those are nice.

Please excuse my ignorance, but what exactly are S-Pods?

Wander over to the Electronics forum. There are a bunch of pinned threads that discuss some different upgrade paths. The general thinking is that when it comes to improving the sound in our cars, people should look at taking roughly this path:

1) head unit upgrade
2) new front speakers
3) amp
4) rear fills

Anyway, as previously mentioned, S-Pods are an after-market product that allow you to put speakers into the roll bar space. They are built and marketed by a member on these forums. For about $200 + the cost of the speakers, you can get some sound coming from behind your head. But if the sound is distorted by the HU (head unit), they really won't do much but produce more distorted sound.
