magnetic vent covers at lowes, couple bucks for a pack of 4 (I think) Proceed to chop out numbers however you'd like. I just made hand drawn block letters the size of the sheet w/ marker then cut them out. careful how you store them (pressed flat good). I let mine get bent/folded/curled and they refuse to flatten out.

$95??? Wow... I'd rather use painter's tape.
I've had them since 2005 and 30+ autocrosses, so they're basically paid off to me.

I taped the numbers to the vinyl and then traced them, removed the paper and cut using sharp scissors although a nice exacto blade would work well, I only had a utility knife.
This would probably work better then my tape idea.

I did think of it but decided against it because I made white numbers and didn't want the line around them.

I am guessing Aaron didn't go with white... So it might work for him.

Well, I am going to buy a pre-cut set anyway, so if someone want's half of it, we both get 4 each of the numbers 0-9 for about $20 + S&H. Could also work with 4 people getting 2 full sets for $10 + S&H. I am looking at the 3" set.

I don't think CDC has requirements around number height but if you want to ever run SCCA you'll need 8" tall numbers.

In all cases, the height of the class letters must be between 25%
and 75% of the height of the numbers. Stroke width must be at
least 10% of the height. (See Appendix F.)

The same set in 6" tall numbers is $110.00 !!! I might have to re-state my position. Still, for 4 people it's just 27.50 + S&H for 2 sets of numbers 0-9.
