Default Bad experience at dealer

I finally bought my S2000 about two weeks ago at a Honda dealer in PA. Horrible experience. My brother setup the deal and talked the sales manager and owner of the dealership and I drove two hours to pick it up and sign the documents. The owner of the dealer and the sales manager wasn't there so I had to deal with the finance manager. After waiting an hour for the car to be prepped a friend and I went to look at it and he noticed the front end had been painted. After I looked at the engine my friend puts the hood down nice and slow. The finance manager says "thats not how you close it" then he picks it up and slams it twice till it shuts. I was like WOW WTF ARE YOU DOING????. We then ask to see a body tech to tell us why it had been painted. The carfax was clean and they said it was because of rock chips. This was a big red flag for me and I was kinda pissed they hadn't mentioned it while negotiating, because anyone who goes to look at a vehicle, especially a certified pre owned one, would like to know if anything was painted, especially the whole front end. So they they start to get a attitude about that and the finance guy starts to get nasty and is like "So what you don't want the car now?" I told him I did an lets go for a drive. After coming back I ask to speak with a sales consultant to see if they can do anything about the price since I was never informed about the paint issue. He immediatly comes running back around the corner and is like "NO THE PRICE IS SET IF YOU DON"T WANT IT THERE ARE A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE INTERSTED." I was blown. The sales manager and owner also had mentioned to my brother that they had a hard top stand that I could purchase. I asked if they could throw that in instead then and I get the same nasty tone from the sales manager. At this point my friend and I are thorougly heated. He then goes on to further get nasty and says that the stand is the dealers and the ownwers personal stand and that its not for sale. Price is set take it or leave it. I really wanted the car and ended up telling my friend to calm down and lets just get paper work done with and get the car and leave.

Worst experience I have had buying my first car. Deff would not go there again.

Cliffs: Shity experience dealing with a Honda dealer.

I'm torn. I'm happy you bought an S2000 but my happy ending to your story was you walking away and buying an even sweeter ass S2000.

I'm with Rob. I was hoping you didn't buy it.

I dunno, a respray for rock chips is not uncommon for S2000's. IMO, the paint is pretty weak on the S. Did your brother see the car personally? Was the front end resprayed then?

Still, there is no excuse for the stealership catching an attitude with you.

Yeah, I would be getting really heated about that too. What was the dealership?

I also had the worst experience buying my s2000 in the beginning of this month. My dealership was Koon's Tyson Toyota in Vienna, VA.
But i wasn't gonna let some dealer stand between me and my car.

It sounds like the guy was trying to close the hood properly. I never push a hood closed, and this is more important on the S because of the aluminum hood. You could very easily dent the hood pushing it closed. Drop it from 6-8 inches and it will latch closed.

I would have called his bluff when he tells me to take it or walk. Plenty of other fish in the sea. Dealer says that to me, they are not worthy of my business.

No he slammed it shut from way up not inches away, and he did it twice. I know about the hood and he seemed like he didn't. I bought it because I was getting a good deal and I didn't want to go through looking for another, this one was pretty rare as it sat. Also didn't want to drive home two hours pissed as all hell more than I was dealing with this rude finance manager. The dealer was Antrim Way Honda in PA. The owner was suppose to contact me back about the ordeal and told my brother he was "very concerned" but apparently not enough.
