The beginning of goodbye... parting with the S2000.
Good luck from another old timer.
My current S isn't being driven much, either, but I don't plan to part with it anytime soon. You have different priorities, though, so your decision makes sense. Porsche is my next fave car, so if I ever do sell, I might just buy one myself!

Kevin, I understand where you are coming from and if it means in a few years you get more of a dream car then it's worth it now. The thing I like most about this community is that I think we could all sell our s2000 and show up at a meet with different cars and get along just as well. I've definitely made a lot of friends since first getting into the s2000 scene. Just don't be shy!
Now that I have my own garage to take up space in I've been really tempted to ditch the s2000 in favor of some kind of project car. I spent hours and hours of my life working on my first WRX and I miss that tinkering. If I could find myself an older Impreza 2.5RS coupe in good shape I'd be all over it. That's my dream Subaru.
I've been thinking lately of ditching the suspension and wheels in favor of something more OEM and just keeping the car like that for a while before I make any drastic move like selling. My AP2 I have now is in such good shape and finding another would be real tough. Same went for the STI I sold. As these cars get older it's becoming harder and harder to find ones in good shape that don't have a ton of mileage.

Whatever else I get, and whenever I get it, I'll make sure that I at least use it to do half of my driving duties.
Good luck from another old timer.

I'm sure what you replace it with will be just as fun.
