Default Beginning of a new Journey

Hey everyone!

Some of you know, i've been boosted before. I had a t3/t4 50 trim set up running AEM EMS 1052. Welp i sold the kit cuz i was getting a place with the wifey at the time and i was gonna use the money for that. That fell through lol. SO i decided to boost again.

THIS time, i vowed to myself and to the closest friends around me, if i was gonna boost again * which i honestly didnt think i would* i would do HONDATA.

Hondata is what i asked for, Hondata is what i got!

Here are the pics of the hondata Kpro, the parts and the other pics are the pics of the oem components needed to convert my 05 to some of the dbw sensors and wat not and a PREEETTY new Valve cover!

In the Middle picture, you'll see a sensor and some wires. That is the Boost solenoid. I opted purchasing that so i wouldnt have to worry about a boost controller and have the hondata set the boost for me. Thought that was one less step i would eliminate

I'm having inline pro install the stuff, AND tune my car N/A at the moment til my other stuff comes. I'm kinda doing a, step....feel it out kinda move... Meaning, i wanted to feel the car N/A and Tuned from Hondata and get a baseline then a N/A tune and see what the increase was and the feeling of it.

Then ofcourse when i go turbo again, retune with hondata.

I'm going with hondata because when i had the aem ems 1052, it felt finicky sometimes. The car's performance wasnt exactly the same allll the time so it wasnt always consistant. I've spoken to other AEM EMS owners and have said the same thing. Ofcourse i didnt like having to prime the pump and i didnt like not using my temp gauge and yes there is a fix for that but to me its the little things that are troublesome... THis is my own personal judgement and i know others who have AEM have no problem dealing with those issue's. I do..

Here are the pictures... Progress will be updated as the project ages

Nice, you'll have to show us dyno's of the car NA when its done. I'm interested to see how it will do compared to my NA EMS setup.

I agree with you, EMS is definitely not the same as OEM, Hondata should be a lot closer.

lol at the bed covers remarks.. yea.... its an asian thing lol. plenty warm too

That was the plan... show the dynos of the car the way it is now, then tuned with hondata... then when boosted later, to show that too and what psi and stuff..

yea there wasnt really anything wrong with aem and alot of folks prefer it over the hondata because of price and supposedly it has more options for race purposes.

I'm looking for oem like quality and reliability with emmissions passability and usage with all the sensors and what not. I'm not looking for high hp goals..at least not as of yet.

trying to stick with the stock hg.. and long term reliability. i had 301 whp before and it was plenty of fun, quick enough for daily, and it fulfilled what i felt the s2k lacked in my own personal opinion..

so this isnt gonna be a crazy build. but i wanted to do a dyno of what i have now, then a dyno after hondata is installed and tuned, and t hen the boost tune and at that psi and what not.
