I'm sure they'll be out in force. Hmmm, kinda sounds like a gay cop movie doesn't it, "Cops: Out...In Force", haha!

Anyone know what the usual situation is like on I-81 through VA? I'm headed to the Roanoke area for Thanksgiving and 81 is the best route.

On I-81, they favor the median between about Woodstock and Natural Bridge.

State police had 3 folks pulled over on the way into work this morning. For my particular stretch of I-95, that is something, especially for that time of day.

I won't have to worry about speeding going home in a little while. 95 is going to be hell going south from Quantico.

Thanks for the warning about 81, energy88. Damn, that's 107 miles w/ the crews control set at 65! Ugh, that'll feel like forever.

Oh, btw, for those headed into MD this holiday bware for State Police driving UNMARKED Expeditions, Explorers and even Cameros (no word if cops in the Cameros are wearing mullets ).

81 is also bad around JMU (where it slows to 60) and then between the Staunton exits
