if you're willing to pay a $250 deductible, I think you can classify it as an uninsured "hit-n-run" kind of claim. The deductible sucks, but your rates shouldn't go up.

 

This same crap just happened to me a week ago, I parked at tysons came out to have an 8inch key mark on each side of my car talk about a great gift...

this makes me mad every time I hear about it. some people just have no respect for others' property. I had my antenna jacked at so many different places that I eventually fiberglassed the hole and ran an antenna through the bumper.

 

wow, i live in arlington too, and i drive to work sometimes and park on the street in rosslyn...i guess i will rethink it now?

just thinking about that happening to my car makes me feel sick to my stomach.

 

I was told by a friend that there this coating that you can put on your car, on top of your clearcoat, that is "key resistant". It makes it harder for them to key your car because it "glides".

I'm not sure how much of it is true, but I'd like to find out.
