Car Inspection
I bought my s2000 in NJ this past saturday. Its an 04 and was practically brand new. I bought it from a honda dealership in NJ. It was a Honda certified. I traded in my civic and was hoping they would just transfer my tags but they did not the laws in MD about transfering tags so they said they will find out for me and try to do the transfer. They let me take my tags that were on my civic with me but told me not to put them on until they find out if the tags are transferable. Now my question is, do I need to get a Maryland State Inspection because from what I thought your car has to be inspected before you can get tags right? Since I bought it out of state wouldnt I have to get the MD inspection then take the inspection certificate to the MVA to transfer or get new tags. Can someone give me some insight. Thanks
basically all cars except new cars have to be inspected before you get permanent tags....
you can still get temp tags without doing inspection though, just go to the mva and pay the tax (not sure how that works since you bought it at a dealer....already paid the tax?)
