Default Careers in NOVA?

I'm debating on making the move back to NOVA here shortly and just begun the job hunt. I figured it couldn't hurt to ask s2ki on any potential job leads. I have a background in Linux/windows systems administration, SEO PPC/PPM advertising, ecommerce, web development both front and back-end, and even entrepreneurial experience (working in start-ups and SMEs as well as owning my own business). I'm pretty open as far as what I'm looking for regarding a position, Sys Admin/webdev/something linux based/devops/or another startup-small business that needs lots of different things done. I would be more than happy to shoot my resume over to anyone who may have something as I'm pretty eager to get out of Texas and make VA my home again. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask, thanks!

Unfortunately I dont, its becoming apparent that having a clearance would help my search out a lot up there.

Amazon is hiring quite a few Linux SAs for the Herndon datacenter. (They just contacted me on LinkedIn.) They will clear you if your resume is strong enough.

Fellow Linux SA.

<--Linux sys admin/engineer. We *may* have a few, non-cleared positions.

Good luck...if you are not on LinkedIn, it's a good place to make contacts and see/apply for jobs. One thing you might want to consider. I applied for a job that I wanted to do part time (I recently retired) even though it was full time. But it got the attention of the company and that has paid off for me now that they have new work. They were very interested and I'm interviewing with that company tomorrow. So think outside the box a bit and it may pay off for you, too.

I'm looking as well in IT, but I'm not in the Linux world. My resources I scan through daily are:
The obvious:
monster
careerbuilder
Washington post

Less obvious:
indeed
dice
simplyhired
theladders
startuphire
Loudoun county jobs website
simplyhired
cybercoders

Didn't realize that I had posted here. Since this post, I have joined the company I interviewed with part time and am working from home. Perfect for me. I still think LinkedIn is a good resource. The site sends me notices all the time of companies that might be interested in my skills. And I've joined a LinkedIn peer group in my area of expertise. That would be another way of making connections.
