Yes, it is very close... maybe 10-12 miles. And yes, I haven't been in a small plane since Arizona. One of the Marines was trying to get his license. We'd pitch in a few bucks to help pay for his flight time and we got to ride along. Pretty cool actually!

just finished watching the video... first comment is

Holy shit you finished the course!

seriously, the last run looked slowest, which is probably why it was the fastest.. but I really liked the very well controled slide near the end of run 5... at 4:28... awesome!
