Default Clipped The Dragon's w1ngs this weekend!

I've already hollared on some threads in the Carolina forum & on the DB forum. Spent every waking moment scrubbing rubber off my tires on some of the sweetest Tennessee & NC roads that lead and take you away from The Dragon. I count myself blessed over and over (no cops, no tickets, no wreck, great...GREAT...company, night-time Dragon run , fantabulous weather...you name it) about just how wonderful this past weekend was ... So now I'll let some pics speak for themselves for my Mid-A brothers and sisters:

Can't wait 'til DB '04!

Friday night I began from Topoco Lodge (towards Robbinsville past Deal's Gap) back over The Dragon and ran Rt 129 back into Merryville. It was deep dusk when I began, and dark before I got down to the gravel lot on the other side of The Dragon. That was fun...ran it about 6/10 of my skills as the perception of the road is completely different. Plus it was just me, zero traffic...so no brakes, car ahead, etc. to help guide you. But for as low as our HIDs cut the road (a big concern given the elevations, cambered turns, etc.) I was surprised at how visible the road directly ahead is. And that is because the white & yellow lines on the road are quite reflective to the headlamps. It was fun.

Saturday night a bunch of us ran it from Deals Gap to the Overlook. Ran it pretty hard then (though I was, by that time of the weekend, thoroughly exhausted). Driving back to Topoco Lodge I set myself as last. My eyes were sooo tired that I was finding that I couldn't track my eyes with the road as fast as we were going. So it was smart to back off. Sooo tired...but soooo completely enthralled by the driving experiences of this past weekend.

It was a fab time had by all

- Dave

What was that car with the wing? I almost posted this question last night but did not want to appear ignorant?

Is there a URL where one can learn more about one?

Thanks.
