Default Comptech Intake

What sort of kit do you use to clean it? I use to buy the uni kit from hardtopguy but he doesn't carry them anymore. I know I can order them online but I seem to always use alot more of the cleaner than the oil. Does anyone know of a different company or dealer that just sells the cleaner?

Thanks
J

k&n filter media is totally different than the UNI foam filters, I can imagine the oil behaves differently as well...

J, It looks as though you can use Simple Green, etc if you are out of cleaner.

J: Bill's post was mostly for AP1 S2K's benefit...

but if you look, a substitute cleaner(Simple Green) can be used.

Just make sure you get rid of all of the solvent before reapplying oil... any residual solvent is going to tank whatever oil you spray on it.

Consider getting a non-foam filter... even with the "recommended" amount of oil, some slips through and will eventually start to clog up your sensors (particularly the MAP, leading to hesitation).
