I think the "we" in "we finally did it" is America in general, in that we(america) have completly changed our racist past to a place of equal opportunity.

Well, I walked downtown for the Inauguration and it was incredible. We won't ever see anything like that again in our lifetimes. As for our new President, he probably won't be able to live up to the massive expectations, but he's off to a good start.

I do have to admit, so far I am pleased with his early decisions, particularly the lobbyist related ones. I don't agree with his political leanings and I didn't vote for him, but I will give him a chance.

Maybe the zomb... uhhh...democrats were right this time

I wish this were true, however, it is still not so.

as do I. though I did not vote for him, now that I think about it, maybe something different, new ideas, and a new approach to problems maybe just what the country needs in these hard times...or it could be the last..

I understand that, but my point is that he could have made it much less.

As from my stand point, I'm not racist, I just hate Democrats.
Pete I wasn't trying to call you a racist at all. I was reading the comments between the statement I quoted and the last post. I was just saying that in general as a response to everyone else.

I don't think they needed to tone it down, there were more people there than ever before for an inauguration.

Oh, I know.

I just wanted to state that my dislikes about Obama are not because he is black.
