Default Countertop and/or cabinetry

Folks,

As we are such a close knit community, thought I'd ask ya'll something. Taska and I plan to sell our home (probably within the next year). I would like to "dress up" my kitchen some without necessarily investing in a full-blown remodel (leave that for the buyers to go the way they'd like). But our current countertop is in pretty bad shape -- home was built in 1978. So I'm curious of a couple things:
  • Anyone have a friend or family member that works with replacing cabinetry, etc.?
  • Anyone currently going through or planning a full-blown remodel?
If yes to either, please PM me or respond here. If a friend or family member, I'd be interested in being made aware of remodel efforts on their part (where perhaps I could scavenge "better counter tops" from a job they'd be working for a customer. If your own remodel is in the pipe...I'd like to consider scavenging from you! .

Seriously...anyone that might have "an in" would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Dave

Hey, our family owns a wholesale plumbing store, which is off the subject, but we also get our hands into cabinet tops etc etc.... You would have to talk to a salesman probably to get exactly what you need.

Also i don't know how close you live. The store is located in Yorktown Virginia. We have delivered all the way up to Richmond, West Point etc...

If you want more info just PM me bro.
