Default Cracked plastic windows

How many of you had the rear plastic window crack on you? I was putting my top down to carry a bumper home yesterday when the whole thing split into 3 parts. Time for a glass window top replacement!

i had mine crack on me and was able to get the dealership to replace it.
it fixed the problem with my wear holes too.

for those with plastic windows, don't put the top down unless it's over 40 degrees outside.

I'll go out on a limb here and presume that I've misinterpreted your comment... but you are aware that having a hardtop for our S2000s does not require us to remove the convertible top/mechanisms, riiiiiiight? . The convertible top just stays retracted in the well, when a hardtop is mounted.

Until I save enough for a top replacement (and the rest of the top is in really good condition anyway) I'm going to try what Miata owners do once it gets a little warmer:

hmm that looks like a good idea especially after seeing some of the MY 00 and 01s floating around with the cloudy yellow rear window

but yea my next project is doing a glass top conversion. i really want to tint my car but it would look weird if the rear isint tinted either.
