Does anyone have an extra stock crank pulley lying around at all?

Would be much appreciated.

Well i tried these options yesterday. The dealer won't sell, rent, or lend any tools. They "SUGGEST" that i make an appointment to have a tech do the pully swap for me. I said F that why would i pay someone else to do what i can do myself. Autozone, pepboys, advance, and salvo do rent tools but donot have the tool i need to rent. Pepboys tried to sell me a gear puller. I just walked away without saying anything. Salvo does sell one crank pully wrench made for honda. But it was way too small. I could order one but i dont have time to wait for shipping. So now my next option is to make my own. I'm going to take a 2" nut and weld it to a peice of flat bar. If this dos'nt work out things are going to get dangerous and i will probaly be looking for a new starter That depends on how desperate i get.

sucks that it's so hard to get a hold of. i just borrowed it from my honda dealer and the crank pulley comes off within 5 seconds of getting the tool on there with a breaker bar with a friend

Do you know if yours was reverse thread? when looking at the motor from the front. What way did you turn the bolt? I got a 2 ' nut to hold the pully but i broke 2 3/8 drives on the bolt. When we took the pully off davids car the bolt spun off counter clockwise. his was MY01 and mine is MY02. I cant believe its that tight so i was wondering if they may have reversed thread from 01 to 02. I'm going to try a 1/2" drive on the socket tomorrow but i'm affraid of shearing the bolt off.

i cant remember if it was a reverse thread but i remember speculating so with my friend that helped me. don't waste your time trying to do it without that tool. we got a perfect sized nut and welded it to a steel bar to use as a crank pulley tool but it just broke. everything we tried just broke. easiest and least frustrating thing to do is to just get that tool. takes literally 5 seconds and 2 breaker bars
