Default Door dings

Hey guys,

Wife's new Legacy got 2 nasty door dings already (not even a month). Stupid people at her work don't care about other people's cars. Anyway. These door dings are pretty nasty. One on the driver's side rear door, right on the belt line crease. The other is on the passenger side rear wheel well fender. Paint was chipped (cheap Subaru paint).

Anyone know any place that can get these fixed for cheap? Meaning push the sheetmetal out without repainting the whole thing. I know there are guys who do touch ups on used cars before dealers get them ready to sell. I wonder if anyone knows any? Any recommendations & suggestions are appreciated.

Try a paintless dent removal company such as Dent Wizard, they do great work and the prices are very reasonably.

Cool. Will check them out. Also found a place in Rockville. Going there Sunday to see if paintless dent removal is even possible for these two. Big, nasty ones. I hate people who do not have respect for others' properties.

Thanks Chris. We just got back after picking up the car at Details Details Details for window tints. They did an estimate on the door dings: $189 for driver's side and $149 for passenger side.

The driver's side is 2.5" and right on the Legacy's beltline. Paint was scuffed but wasn't badly damaged. Due to the location, they said they can restore 90% of the damage.

The passenger's side was about 2" and right on the crease for fender well. Yeah, those idiots sure picked the right place to put dents on. Paint was gone all the way to metal. They recommended me to bring OEM touch paint for them to work with. This one, they can make it look as if nothing has happened.

What do you guys think about the prices? I am going to call them tomorrow to make an appointment to take care of these.

rayray24: I've made the appointment with Details today. I'll give them a call to see if they can match your price on the Subaru.

With that said, I do have some dents on my S2K that I'd like to take care of. I can come by this Sat for you to look at them and get an estimate.
