I am sorry to hear Skip had some more car trouble...

I was up early and left around 9:00, I was hoping to get a totally clean run in, didnt damn Slow Harleys , I was making great time on the way back until I got on the Blue Ridge Parkway for about 40 miles.

I had a great time, even though I missed driving the Dragon with the mid A crew.

Here is the Start of the drivers meeting (note all the other Mid A people were still sleeping)

Sat Morning Run

Fontana Dam

Cherahola Skyway

Why is everyone going so slow?

Kevin and I did, not on purpose but it was 88 mph drifting. We both got airborne along the river where it starts to straighten out some. Coming out of the last turn we both catch air, and when we land the cars rears jump hard right, and then they snatch back and jump hard left, I look in my left rearview mirror and Kevin's front right fender is almost touching my left rear fender...At first I thought he was going to pass me, then my brain kicked in and realized we were both trying to save the cars but not back off too much, but I was backing off more the Kevin.. . When our hearts started beating again, we slowed down for like a 1/4 mile, then went back to balls out again.. DAMN it was fun.

Me too Dan. I'm counting down the days until this years Dragon Ball Run.

Maybe we should get a Mid-A Dragon run going this summer.

The car was clean because I had washed it before we left. It was nasty before. I think I have more primer/bumber showing than paint now on the front.

I was already burned from sat so the top stayed up on the trip home. No rain for me on the way back though.

Man it was just too much fun. A mid a run would definitely be a blast.
who are you? i didn't know any other mid-aer's were down there. wish we could have met up. see you around though

Maybe if you weren't so hammered half the time you would've met more people

That's not hard

Since you all are speaking about drive times back from the Dragon let me tell you about my first trip to the Dragon with ACLR8......5 and half hours from Newport News! We probably averaged a little over 100 MPH the whole way. We stopped the clock for gas and food breaks though.

The trip back was another story
