Mani!!!!! Dude! I'd say it looks like you got lucky and didn't roll that one.
Mike: yeah, I was very lucky for sure. Actually when I came to a complete stop I was literally on my Driver's side, completely vertical!! After I climbed out of my passenger side door, few of us pushed the car to it's side, so it will rest on the hill. This picture was taken after we pushed it to it's side.

Aaron - Thanks for the back story along with the picture!! Much appreciated!

...just a few more things to add. The mud on my hood on the driver's side is from Bill's rear tire trying to get back on the road. Bill trying to avoid Aaron had his right rear off the road and I had to go even further to avoid hitting Bill. I had adequate spacing between Bill and I and apparently I needed extra room to avoid this from happening. I was incredibly lucky to not have a rock where I went off. It was about a 3 feet deep ditch filled with wet leaves. I have a few minor scratches on the bottom of my rear bumper and a hard-to-locate small dent above my left rear wheel well.

You guys should've been in my seat, since I was the last car in the caravan and I saw the entire thing....

So we came around a corner to the short straight. Saw the truck with the trailer taking the next turn, a hairpin. The truck came across the double-yellow, and the people in front of us had to stop to avoid the truck. It came really abruptly, since we were going in a nice rhythm. So everyone slammed on their brakes. My thought at that momemt: "Oh $hit!"

Then I saw Mani closing really fast with Bill, and Mani veered right to avoid hitting Bill (truck was coming in the opposite direction at this time). Mani's car went over the ditch, the front tire hit something (could've been the rock wall, but I'm not sure) and the entire right side of the car became airborne. This all happened within 2 seconds. I slammed on my brakes, ABS kicked in. I was thinking "Holy $hit!!!!", but my +1 was screaming: "OFMG!!! $hit!!!!" Then we saw Mani's car came to rest on the driver's side. Aaron being in the lead car, he didn't even know what happened until either Bill or Mani honked. I just stopped in the middle of the road with my hazards on.

All in all, we lucked out. The ditch was full of wet leaves, so Mani's car got away without scratch. Best of all, Mani was in good spirit about what happened. And the location couldn't be better: in the middle of a straight. A straight in the middle of the Dragon. I told Mani to get some lottery ticket, dunno if he actually did or not.

Moral of the story: DO NOT CROSS THE DOUBLE-YELLOW!

PS. It was cold and raining. Aaron, Mani and I pulled over to the side of the road and stayed in our cars while Bill went to get help. I was running low on gas, so I was turning on and off the car periodically. Aaron had Mani in his car and were checking Aaron's Dragon vids in the car, with the engine OFF. They were also playing with the navigation system and the fan was on as well. Before we know it, Aaron's car were out of battery! Luckily the Blount County Sheriff who showed up had a jump box with him. Otherwise it would be another hour before we get off the Dragon on Sunday. hehe

Robert : I considered it at first but then I realized I had already made a huge withdrawal from the luck bank and didn't do it.
