Cool drove with top down today

I left my house today around 1130. decided to bundle up and put the top down... about 5 miles down the road i saw flashing lights coming up behind me.. cop pulled me over. He then asked me if i was in a rush becasue i put my foot in it for a few sec... but the next ? was better . his words " are you ****** nuts driving around with the top down and it being under 30 degrees... btw this is a nice car" then asked for all my info......... looks at it for a minute while just standing next to my car and hands it back. Says drive safe and slow down and happy holidays.. lol i laughed and said thanks.

i was just waiting for like the tickets loud exhaust, tint (windows were up), speeding, ect. but nope he was a pretty cool and funny guy. he was out o uniform tho so i was kinda lost but did have his badge on around his neck. can they do that?? being from nj i am not used to seeing a cop just be aloud to drive the car around when they want like they do here in md??

i am sure noone cares but i thought i was share

wouldn't be so enthusiastic about putting the top down if you have a plastic window in that weather.

lol, yeah be careful with that. I got pulled over a few weeks ago by a cop that had seen me at my work just to ask me about my hardtop

i'm a transplant from jersey, too! i bet the cop was heading over to the station in preparation for the endless amount of accidents that will undoubtedly happen tonight. have also gotten the craziest WTF looks from people while driving around with the top down in 40 degree weather. drive safe everyone!!

I dunno about columbia, but in PG county they let the officers use the cars when they are off duty, so long as they stay in-county.
