Default Dunno what your first thread to read was...

...but one of my first was => this <=.

Now you have to appreciate... When I read that, I'd just purchased The Bruised Banana (actually I'd purchased it in Nov '01...and this linked thread above was something that had cropped up with a then-recent post to dig it up again). Anyway...I'd just gotten a convertible for the first time...something I've always wanted and can happily say I've never regretted. But reading this thread left me a wee-bit anxious about top-down driving to say the least . Didn't stop me, mind you ...but it made me look up at the sky quite often .

I thought I'd fire up this thread because:

1) I think I've pissed off some folks with my "watch your conduct" issue and feel that the pendulum has swung the other way and now no one is talking ... and,

2) There *are* a lot of relatively new folks on our forum that might never have seen this older thread and might find it a hoot! .

So, how 'bout you...what do you remember as one of your more memorable first threads you'd read on this board

- Dave

This was *Mine*.

Kinda funny how things work out. I now consider Steve (tenblade2001) to be a very very good friend and someone to call when I need some advice.

Steve has become a welcome sight at Checkered Flag now - not only from our Sales Department, but also Service. My technicians are always excited to see his car here - they love seeing the modifications!

The whole store, and company, has a new respect for the S2000 now - it is great! dave22 even impressed our Porsche guys last night by blowing some hair back

I think the first thread I encountered was an update on the then-happening S2KDays in Ashville, NC.

I was visiting a friend in Chapel Hill as the fist road trip in my S and happened to come across the site using his computer. I believe my exact words were "Holy sh*t! There's 100 S2000's in Ashville right now!!"

I almost ran out the door to go join them, but then I realized that it was midnight on Saturday and they'd be asleep or leaving before I could get there.

My first thread was on airgate's obx run -- couldn't make it and still haven't made one yet (+1's schedule does not permit), but someday . . . .

I can't remember, either, Wingy...but it was obviously good enough to make me stick around and join. Lots has happened out here in the last year and a half since I became a member. But it's still fun in spite of a few bumps in the road, so to speak!

I'm not sure what you said was what I noticed as much as the way you said it. The two postings I saw about people going OT or whatever were like sudden bangs on the head. They jumped out at me rather than sneaking up slowly. It was obvious you were frustrated and there is nothing wrong with that. But you may have surprised some people, that's all.
