hey guys,
so, i went to my first drift event on sat, and my friend was gracious enough to let me take out his m5 for a little sideways fun on a skid pad.

the video was in 1080i, but for some reason youtube won't let me access the HD option?

Drifting around a wet skidpad can help one to learn traction limits in the wet and car control. Drifting around a circle on dry does nothing for me. I did like the attempt of using two cameras.
I agree that holding a slide around in a wet skid pad involves more finesse. I usually like wet skidpads (one event at shen, they left the solution sprayers running while you were on it!). But dry skidpads are great for learning what to do in regular track conditions when you experience understeer/oversteer.
What you don't see in the video is the opposite side skidpad, which was completely soaked (a few inches of water in some areas). Great for learning how to deal with hydroplaning, if you don't mind the excessive water.
One of the guys stated that TSP will be developed further, and that they will install curbing on all the inner circle edges, and ramp the drop offs (some guys damaged their cars).
I like TSP a lot, the sprayers themselves are already installed, but they haven't hooked it up to a solution source yet. It's going to be pretty nice when it's all finished.
