Emergency Soft Top Replacement
Hi all, I have a small problem I was seeing if anyone could lend some advice on.
Last night when I got back to my appartment after a nice full day of top-down driving in this beautiful weather I went to put the top up and I hear a loud *POP* sound. I look back and the plastic window had completely snapped, leaving a huge gaping hole in my back window area.
Now I knew I was going to need a new top in the next few months anyways (although I was hoping for later rather than sooner) but because this is my daily driver and I have a busy few weeks coming up I wanted to try to get some help fast. I apologize in advance because i know this topic has probably been discussed to death (sorry, couldn't find the search button in the new layout), but any help would be greatly appreciated. Basically I want to get this fixed for the best price possible (preferably under $1200, although I hear that's almost impossible) and more importantly, as quickly as possible. The latter of which I think could be difficult. I already talked to my friend at Honda who said the one guy he had that could do the replacement moved recently.
As of now my place is to order one of the replacement soft top's online (I understand robbins? is pretty good) but I need to see if anyone knows of a shop in the area that can do the swap (I would be getting a glass back btw). If any of you guy's happen to be able to do the swap I would be more than happy to pay for your service.
Thanks for any help on this. I'm sorry for this being a kind of repeat thread, but I just really need some help so I can get this fixed before the weather turns and I'm out a car in the rain

You didn't include your location, but Lim's Upholstery has been touted as the go to shop for Northern Virginia. Many members have had luck there. As for the impending rain, I'd be investing in duct tape and a plastic drop cloth for tomorrow / Wednesday.
Oops, forgot to mention I'm in Fairfax, VA.
I found this thread that gave me some options. If this nextinstant39 guy is still around and his 1000$ parts + labor quote still stands I might go with that. I'll look into Lim's Upholstery as well since it sounds like that is closer.

That would be great. Are you local and/or have done an install before?
Yea, I've done a good job of replacing everything that has needed to be with OEM parts, but god damn the price difference from OEM tops to the EZ tops (or robbins) is just too big for my college wallet
That's my temp fix. After work today I'm going to duct tape some cardboard wrapped in a waterproof trash bag in the space where the hole is. Hopefully I won't get too much trouble from the cops for that.
