Default Enduro Karting

There are two upcoming karting events that you guys may be interested in. The first is through the tidewater sports car club in Virginia beach. They are hosting an enduro karting event at Virginia Beach motor world on September 27th at 3pm. Cost is $30 per driver. Each team must have four drivers. My wife and I are going, and we can take two more people on our team. Team Captains must be club members, but I'm sure some teams could take some extra drivers. Jeff is also a club member, but I'm not sure if he's going. I'm not sure if there are other folks on this board who are members. LMK if you are interested.

The second event is through NASA mid atlantic at VIR. There are two twilight karting enduros on October 9-10. I'm already signed up, but there are a few team spots left for the Saturday event and plenty of spots open for the Friday event. Cost is $70 per team. If your team only has two drivers, that is A LOT of track time. There are also a lot of HPDEs and race series going on that weekend, so there should be plenty to do on Saturday before the race. I'm heading back that evening after the race.

If you haven't tried karting, it's a lot of fun. You can see just how "go-kart like" your S2k handles by compairison.

VIR's kart track is nice and has great elevation changes. Several of us will be there for the NASA event. Feel free to tour the paddock and stop by to say, " "

Skip,
I'll be sure to stop by and hello. I'll have all day Saturday to hang out and watch the track action before the evening kart race, and I'd love to see some track prepped S2000s.
Are any of you guys going to be in the kart race? Also, to any other Mid-A guys, there's still time to sign up for a lot of seat time at VIR and in Virginia Beach. Send me a PM if you're interested in the Virginia Beach race.

Is there a deadline to sign up for either of these events? I'm very interested. Any other information on the VB motor world event (website?)?

Check out the link to NASA's website for the VIR events. The NASA event's registration is closed, but you could email the organizers and see if you could get waitlisted or if there is another spot on a team you could take.
I'll have to email the TWSCC to make sure there are still spots open (there should be plenty). www.vbmotorworld.com is the link to the VA beach event. We will be using the adult speed track, and you will get around 15-20 mins seat time (100 lap race, 4 driver teams, mandatory driver changes so all drivers get to drive). I'll post by the end of the day as to how many spots are left. You need to sign up with a TWSCC member as team captain. I think that's just me and Jeff, and Jeff may not be going (He's not that quick of a driver after all ). Send me a PM if you are interested, and you can run with my team or any extra spots from club members who don't have a full team yet.

Update: It looks like members can field more than one team. It might be because not enough TWSCC members signed up. That means we could have a mid-a s2k kart challenge. As of now, there is no limit to the number of people who can sign up.
Everybody should come out and see who's fastest. We will be racing for position on track. This is not a time trial, we will be racing for position!
As of now the list is:
Me +1
s-nisen

That's not enough for a full team, but there are enough of you out there to make at least two more. This would also be a great event for wives/girlfriends/friends to get an idea of what racing is about. Send me a PM and let me know if you are interested. Leave the Corvette drivers on the golf course and have some real fun!
