Default engine grenaded yesterday

well some of you may know that i have a vortech supercharged s2000 running 12.5 psi. I recently fabbed up a cold air intake for the car and did notice a nice increase in my low to mid range power, and was loving the setup. Well as most of you in the area know that it has been down pouring rain for the last week and i was to lazy to fab up a slash gard for the intake at the time. Long story short i ran though some water and the cold air sucked up a ***t ton of water and i almost instantly through a rod out the side of the case doing 30 MPH in 6th gear.

I have the motor out of the car and im ready to put the other motor in but i was wandering if anybody has a smaller pulley. I believe i have the 4 inch pulley and im looking for a 3.8 or 3.75 inch pulley. This will be going on an AP1 and i think that will max out the V2 vortech that i have.

I maybe looking for a headgasket for more reliability but i think i have seen somewhere that people are running up to 15psi on a stock headgasket.

I have about a week left of leave and no other way of transportation so if anybody would like to come hang out, give advice, or help in any way possible this would greatly be apriciated. Thanks.

Do a head gasket while the motor is out. Speaking from experience. If you don't, you may end up with the...

my old car!! but, if a motor is gonna go, shootin' a rod at 30mph out the side of the case isn't a bad way to do it!

I agree with Skip on the head gasket while it's all out, one of those things that you'll be glad you did in the long run, especially since you're running 12.5 psi, and wanna run more boost now

good luck man!
