Normally I would say yes, but with NASA HPDE's your instructor will tech your car so if he doesn't notice you're ok, but you will have to run top down. I say this because I saw two S2000's running stock roll hoops at the last NASA Summit Point event.

If you've never been to Hyperfest it is a blasty blast. This will be my fifth year going and it's always a good time. Say hi if you see me I'll probably have my NFR AP1.

 

NASA MA has always (last 4 yrears anyhow) required aftermarket roll bars on the S2K. I don't know how that was missed, but if they catch it you may be out some cash and extremely disappointed.

Since Summit Point now requires them, that would (should) supercede anything a club requires.

There was an S2000 at the latest FATT running soft top up with the stock roll bar too. It seems they're not being too anal about it.
